Multiple Grammy Award winners Branford Marsalis & Dianne Reeves celebrate John Coltrane

September 2026 marks the centenary of John Coltrane's birth. The Concertgebouw is therefore honoring this legend this year with four special concerts . The Branford Marsalis Quartet and Dianne Reeves—both multiple Grammy Award winners—will release the tribute album *Dedicated to You* in September 2026 , inspired by Coltrane's groundbreaking 1963 collaboration with Johnny Hartman. An album calls for a world tour, which brings the Quartet and Reeves to the Grote Zaal tonight. A hall where Coltrane himself gave four legendary concerts: in April 1960, he made his debut there as a member of the Miles Davis Quintet. In November 1961, he returned with his own John Coltrane Quartet, including Eric Dolphy. In December 1962 and October 1963, he gave legendary concerts with his quartet once again. Hear how musical history comes to life again tonight in the Concertgebouw!
