Make sure to grab your tickets because on Friday the 16th of October, at 20:00, Filmhuis Cavia comes back to the Nassaukerk (De Wittenkade 111, 1052 AG, Amsterdam) for the fourth edition of Cavia in Concert, our series of screenings with live music organized in collaboration with Podium Nassau!

We start the new season of our bi-monthly screenings by leaning towards experimentation: this time we bring to you the iconic Le Révélateur (1968) by French New Wave director Philippe Garrel. This silent experimental film, shot during the May of 1968, depicts a couple and their child as they flee in the face of an unknown, but still considerable menace.

The film’s oneiric and disturbing qualities perfectly match Sasha Sykes’ improvised dreamy soundscapes. Trained as a jazz vocalist, Sasha combines modular synthesis, vocals, and effects, to create an immersive show based on intuitive sonic exploration through improvisation.
