Cellofest: Common Features

A new sound that connects cultures.

Since 2010, Orchestre Partout has been creating musical programs with AZC residents, status holders, and Dutch professionals. In Common Features, Cello Octet Amsterdam and Orchestre Partout meet in the no man's land between distant cultures. A quest for a new sound, a shared reality that reflects and transcends the individuality of diverse musicians.

Oene van Geel composed the music with passionate melodies, catchy rhythms, and plenty of room for improvisation. This program from 2022 is supplemented with new compositions and improvisations for CELLOFEST.
