Cellofest: François Salque, Hermine Deurloo, Gwilym Simcock + Vincent Peirani

Lyrical jazz meets classical refinement.

In 2024, three musical adventurers — the Dutch Hermine Deurloo on harmonica, the French accordionist Vincent Peirani, and the English pianist Gwilym Simcock — met for the first time in London. During the Cello Biennale, this meeting receives a special continuation and they join forces with the phenomenal top cellist François Salque.

This French master cellist excels in playing chamber music and now elevates the group to another dimension, where chamber music and improvisation do not contradict but enhance each other. A unique collaboration, especially for the Biennale, in which four musicians with distinct voices merge into one adventurous dialogue.
