“OH IS THIS A FALSE ALARM!?”

A comment VALS ALARM regularly hears after a show. Not because the band is new, but because everyone who sees them live is left with the same amazement: how is it possible that more people don't know this yet?

Over the past few years, VALS ALARM has steadily built a reputation as one of the most energetic live bands within the alternative music scene. From festivals like Best Kept Secret, Down The Rabbit Hole, MadNes, and Wildeburg to shows where the audience is swept along in no time into the chaos and euphoria characteristic of the band.

Now VALS ALARM opens a new chapter with IDIOT. No album concept or strictly defined plan, but a new wave of music where anything is allowed to exist. About being yourself without excuses. About insecurity, frustration, overstimulation, dating, burning out, and above all: not caring what others think.

Because ultimately, we are all idiots sometimes. Sometimes because we do something stupid, sometimes because we don't quite understand the world, sometimes because we are just being ourselves. Smart or stupid, organized or completely chaotic — everyone bumps up against themselves at some point. IDIOT isn't about being perfect, but about embracing everything that makes you human and, above all, being able to laugh heartily about it.

With a healthy dose of humor and self-mockery, VALS ALARM transforms relatable daily struggles into energetic punk tracks that are simultaneously funny, absurd, and surprisingly spot-on. The band combines their signature guitars with synths, catchy melodies, and a sound that rings bigger than ever, without losing their individuality.

The IDIOT Tour is full of new music that can't be heard anywhere else yet and shows exactly what VALS ALARM stands for: a place where you can scream, laugh, dance, and just be completely yourself for a while.

Everyone is an idiot sometimes. VALS ALARM turns it into a party.

And who are they taking along? JACKIE AND THE FACTS

The energetic indie-punk band from the Netherlands made a strong breakthrough in 2025 as NMTH Talent for Popronde, where they played 18 shows. Since then, this has been followed by their own TCAAT tour and shows at MadNes, Paardcafé, and Waterpop, among others – now accounting for around 40 performances, organized entirely independently. Raw riffs, catchy hooks, and honest lyrics come together in an explosive live show you won't soon forget.
