On the Friday of ADE, Paradiso hands over the keys to DEEWEE, the internationally renowned label for refined electronic music from the Flemish brothers David and Stephen Dewaele.

Since the label's founding in 2015, the brothers have maintained a strict artistic policy. From their bunker-like studio in Ghent, they produce, write, and/or mix all releases themselves. Recent DEEWEE success stories include records by Marie Davidson and Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul.

That perfectionism doesn't come out of nowhere. Stephen and David are the two brains behind the electronic rock band Soulwax and are also known worldwide under their DJ alias 2manydjs. Since the early 2000s, the brothers have uniquely bridged the gap between rock, pop, and electronic music. Furthermore, their taste and sound are characterized by encyclopedic knowledge of music and equipment, and the use of an extensive collection of vintage synthesizers.

On the Friday of ADE, David and Stephen present the best from their label's stable in our Main Hall. And the fact that the DEEWEE circus is coming to Paradiso also has a nice touch of nostalgia. Long before the whole world was at their feet, Stephen and David took their very first DJ steps at the Weteringschans during the Paradiso club night Noodlanding. Years later, the equipment is a bit more expensive and their hair is a bit greyer, but their musical energy and love for Paradiso are still exactly the same.
