Ghostly Kisses

Minimalist whisper-indie full of big feelings

The term 'dream pop' was invented for the Canadian Ghostly Kisses. This Canadian duo makes music feel like a dream, full of cinematic whispered vocals and personal confessions that give you goosebumps.

As a scion of a highly musical family and a violin student at the conservatory, Margaux Sauvé was literally born to be a musician. Yet, at some point, she was completely done with it. She dropped out of the conservatory and became a psychologist. Not long after, the musical penny dropped after all, but only when she discovered that she could pour her heart and soul into her songs.

For Sauvé, music and emotion are one and the same. Just listen to her debut album 'Heaven, Wait', which is set during the darkest periods of her life. Or its successor Darkroom (2024), inspired by anonymous letters from her fans. Add to that those minimalist arrangements and that beautiful, fragile singing voice, and you find yourself listening with bated breath. On November 8, Ghostly Kisses will play a silent set at De Helling, with a brand-new album in tow.
