Singer-songwriter Hans Williams grew up with his parents' record collection: Al Green, Tracy Chapman, Steely Dan, James Brown, Tower of Power, and Funkadelic. That mix of soul, folk, and groove can be found in the music he makes in New Orleans, an endless source of sound and spirit, just like the records he grew up with.
Hans writes songs that are both lyrically personal and intended for catharsis, weaving emotion with melody in a way that resonates with anyone seeking the same liberation. With his band, his sound expands: introspection remains the core, but is wrapped in rhythms that get people moving. His live performances balance reflection with energy, creating moments where the audience and the band reinforce each other without losing the emotional charge of the songs. Hans has a contract with Giant Music, and 2026 was marked by an upcoming album, alongside the singles 'True Feeling', 'Nosebleed' with Lyla George, and 'Janie' (a collaboration with producer Phin Choukas).
Hans has performed in the US and Europe, including a North American tour of 26 concerts in 2024 that was 90 percent sold out. He subsequently toured with Hazlett in Europe and with The Revivalists in 2025, and spent the summer of 2026 touring with Chance Peña.
