With classics like Ploegsteert, Naar De Wuppe, and Tid Van Ton, and acclaimed and award-winning albums such as Nie Voe Kinders and Calais, the Flemish band fronted by singer Wannes Cappelle has become an indispensable part of the music landscape. In early 2024, their sixth album, Het Langste Jaar, was released, which, along with the previous album Skepsels, marked Het Zesde Metaal's breakthrough in the Netherlands. De Volkskrant awarded Het Langste Jaar four stars, and their club tour resulted in sold-out venues in Amsterdam and Utrecht. In the spring of 2027, frontman Wannes Cappelle will tour Dutch venues, flanked by cellist Frans Grapperhaus. With Even tussen ons, the duo presents a rich selection from Het Zesde Metaal's oeuvre.
