The Japanese band JILUKA gives new meaning to the label 'intense' with their aggressive metalcore. Drawing on influences from djent, industrial, and EDM, JILUKA creates its own sound, dubbed 'Electro Gothic Metal' (EGM) by the band themselves – frontman Ricko effortlessly switches between melodic vocals and screams. With six mini-albums and a full album under their belt, the quartet has built a substantial fanbase in the global visual kei scene. The compilation album XNDII, released in 2025 to mark their tenth anniversary, is an excellent introduction to JILUKA's groundbreaking work!
