Nearly 60 years of blues history come together during the traditional End-of-Year Concert of John the Revelator. The quintessential Haarlem blues band was founded in 1970 and immediately won the Loosdrecht Jazz Concours with their debut album Wild Blues . Since then, with the blues firmly in their hearts, they have continued to play.

On Sunday, December 27, John the Revelator presents a steaming ode to the blues, from Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac and John Mayall to Eric Clapton, BB King, Son House, and Elmore James. Naturally, the band's own repertoire is not to be missed. Expect an evening full of pounding blues, slide guitar, harmonica, and Hammond organ, with the energy of a band that, after all these years, still breathes Nothing But The Blues .
