the last Iceberg
The sculpture The Last Iceberg looks like a small, broken-off segment of a much larger iceberg that has accidentally drifted into the port of Amsterdam. All the other icebergs have melted. This is the only one left.

A fairy-tale-like apparition with a monstrous climate-related dark side, alluding to a world under threat.

For many people, climate change remains an abstract and elusive problem. This installation, ‘The Last Iceberg’, translates a global problem into a local, physical experience for a wide audience.

The strength of the work lies in:

Immediate accessibility (no prior knowledge required)
Public visibility (free and easily accessible)
Imagery rather than an explicit message
The convergence of content and location
The work can be seen as a form of visual activism without being explicitly moralising. It raises questions, perhaps raises awareness, and invites discussion.
