LINA_ belongs to the most acclaimed fado singers of her generation. Her voice is both sensual and dramatic, earning her an international reputation far beyond Portugal. Marco Mezquida is one of the most versatile pianist-composers of Spain, known for collaborations with Silvia Pérez Cruz, Salvador Sobral, and Lee Konitz, and a regular guest on our stage.

In _O Fado_ the two explore how fado sounds when you detach it from its fixed frameworks. Classical pieces like _Fado da Defesa_ and _Gota d’Água_ gain a new space of meaning, alongside original compositions and songs that question the boundaries of the genre without denying it. The result is an organic, flowing repertoire where Mezquida’s piano sounds like an extension of his body and LINA_'s voice is free to roam.
