Maridalen

We have finally managed to bring this Norwegian trio to LantarenVenster. With a transparent, playful, and acoustic sound, Maridalen adds a refreshing voice to European and Scandinavian jazz. In doing so, the group draws inspiration from nature. It is no coincidence that the trio is named after a beautiful valley north of Oslo.

Their sound is built around the warm tones of double bass, saxophone, and trumpet. Three melodic voices that complement each other both harmonically and percussively. Musical stories are told with cinematic, dreamy sounds.
