It's already been eight years since singer MEROL broke through with 'Lekker Met De Meiden' — by now not only a Nederpop classic, but also the name of thousands of group chats. Afterwards she scored one club hit after another, but in 2026 MEROL is going to do things completely differently. Nothing like 'Lekker met de meiden manicure': on her new album 'Leve de Feeks' (released this spring) she sings about her body, sex and desire to have children, and about all the shame, fears and doubts she encounters along the way. MEROL frees herself from imposed roles with the sound that goes with it: rougher, more direct and punk!
