Minute Made Music
Spectacular trip through the musical universe of a colorful collection of players, '100% freshly squeezed'.
Minute Made Music (MMM) is a large ensemble that constantly changes form and continues to develop. Let yourself be carried away by a mix of underground noise, punk, jazz à la Monk and Mengelberg, cumbia, Senegalese grooves, griot singing, and chamber music, in both angular and serene original compositions by the band members: 'Minute Made Music from the now and nowhere. 100% freshly squeezed.'
MMM originated in Amsterdam, but the members come from all directions. They draw from various eras and movements. Pianist Oscar Jan Hoogland first brought the group together to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of our stage. That performance took place under the name A Trip Through the Years. 'The more colorful it gets, the more logical it seems to fit together,' wrote music journalist Peter Bruyn in his review. 'At the end of the evening, there is only one conclusion possible: it was fantastic.'
Oscar Jan Hoogland piano/electric clavichord/synthesizer, Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti vocals/electronics, Mola Sylla vocals/mbira/xalam, Ada Rave tenor saxophone/sopranino saxophone/bass clarinet, Benjamin Herman alto saxophone, Mary Oliver violin/viola, Harald Austbø cello, Uldis Vitols double bass/bass guitar, Andy Moor electric guitar, Onno Govaert drums, Sun-Mi Hong drums
