Naaz is a Dutch-Kurdish singer, producer, and writer. She grew up in a refugee family and found an outlet in songwriting at a young age, many lines of which are now tattooed on her body as symbols of freedom.

During Bosfest, Naaz gives an intimate performance among the trees of the Amsterdam Forest.

Completely self-taught in writing, producing, and composing, she released her debut project Bits of Naaz from her bedroom. Since then, she has toured Europe four times and became known for her powerful live vocals and intense, energetic, and sincere performances. With her unique fusion of English and Kurdish music, Naaz received praise from artists such as Elton John and Lana Del Rey.

Her independently released and critically acclaimed debut album Never Have I Ever felt like a rebirth for Naaz, both artistically and personally. Her first Kurdish alt-pop single, Azadi, grew into an international activist anthem for women's rights, particularly within the MENA diaspora, and underscored the impact of her outspoken voice.

In addition to her musical work, Naaz moves effortlessly between disciplines. She recently composed for theatre company Orkater, will soon perform a leading role in an opera at the Holland Festival, and is currently working on her debut novel. This cross-pollination between music, theatre, and literature forms the basis of her strong sense of storytelling and emotional depth, giving her work an intimate and honest perspective.
