Since 1991, the New Year's Gala has been a unique Haarlem tradition where music, celebration, and socializing come together. On January 1st, Patronaat transforms into one big party for young and old alike, with live music, surprising performances, and a fantastic atmosphere to start the new year together.

What makes the New Year's Gala special? The stars of the evening are not famous artists, but enthusiastic amateur singers from Haarlem and the surrounding area. They get the chance to shine on the big stage, accompanied by the professional 1-Januariband, complete with backing singers. From hard rock to disco, from pop classics to Dutch singalongs: anything can be featured.

Do you dream of standing on stage with a real band? Everyone can sign up to participate. The New Year's Gala is all about talent, fun, and guts. Between the live performances, the legendary Natte Sokken DJ Team ensures that the energy stays high and the dance floor remains full.

Do not expect a chic gala with strict dress codes. The New Year's Gala is actually informal, accessible, and for everyone. Of course, we appreciate it when guests dress up festively, as we ring in the new year in style together, but it is certainly not exclusive.

Are you hesitating because it's the day after New Year's? That is precisely why the party starts at 4:00 PM. This way, you have plenty of time to ease into the atmosphere and still experience a fantastic first day of the year. The live performances last until around 11:00 PM, after which the real die-hards can stick around for a two-hour afterparty with a DJ.
