Orchestre Partout & New European Ensemble – A Ticket to Aleppo

Musicians from Aleppo and a prominent collective connect ancient traditions with Western soundscapes.

Discover the soul of Aleppo and immerse yourself in a musical journey through the ancient city. In living rooms, souks, taxis, and cafes, songs of longing, resilience, and desire are heard. Spiritual voices blend with city sounds, while the scent of coffee, pepper, and cinnamon fills the air.

A Ticket to Aleppo brings a warm-blooded musical dialogue between Arabic and Western musicians. Together they paint a musical landscape with classical Arabic songs, delicate maqams, and exuberant improvisations. Instruments like oud, qanun, and riq sound together with violin, viola, cello, and flute.

Spoken texts are in English.
