After a sold-out edition on September 9, Sign This returns to Cinetol on Sunday, November 15! And this time, we are making even more room for musicians who want to embark on the adventure themselves and jam along.

During the previous edition, none other than Santiago Vázquez, the Argentine creator of the musical sign language Rhythm and Percussion with Signs, led the band. Under his direction, the music emerged entirely in the moment: grooves were built up, broken down, and unexpectedly steered in a new direction, while Afrogrooves, La Maquina, and musicians from the audience allowed themselves to be guided by the same sign language. A packed house, a dancing floor, and music that could only exist once.

‍On Sunday, November 15, we continue along that line. No setlist, no fixed compositions, and no predetermined outcome. Using hand gestures, the conductor guides a full afrobeat formation through grooves, breaks, improvisations, and musical surprises. Afrobeat, funk, jazz, percussion, and collective improvisation come together in a concert composed on the spot.
