With their innovative melting pot of Colombian folkloric rhythms and urban sounds such as ska, punk, reggae, klezmer, polka, rockabilly, powercore, hip hop, Gypsy influences, and drum n' bass, they will storm through dB's like a musical whirlwind.

Ska, Punk & Champeta—you get it all from the Colombian group SKAMPIDA, whose sole aim is to throw a FIESTA! And they succeed, as we in Utrecht know by now. The band has already been a guest several times at a sold-out ACU, outside on the terrace at De Nijverheid, and with us last year as well; time and again, Skampida thunders the crowd with spectacular live performances. No wonder Skampida is considered one of the most successful and popular groups from Colombia. In addition, they have been touring extensively around the world since 2005, with as many as 1,000 concerts in Latin America and approximately 500 in the US, Canada, and Europe. Skampida has shared the stage with famous artists and bands such as The Skatalites, Manu Chao, Gogol Bordello, Molotov, King Chango, Alicia Keys, Ska-P, Uriah Heep, and Skindread.
