Atmospheric dark folk, deeply rooted in our pagan past. Sowulo is a project by Dutch multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Faber Horbach with members of the neofolk group Heilung. With melancholic and captivating music, Faber inspires thousands of listeners worldwide to connect with their cyclical and spiritual nature through his music. Live, the music is performed with a 'Viking Orchestra': a 10-piece ensemble including (historical) instruments such as: Nyckelharpa, Carnyx, Celtic Harp, Big Shamanic drums, Irish Bouzouki, strings, and vocals. In 2025, the most recent album NIHT! was released.
