American singer-songwriter Stephen Wilson Jr. already had careers as an amateur boxer and lab technician behind him when he decided to fully dedicate himself to music. In 2023, he debuted with the double album Søn Of Dad, inspired by the death of his father. Wilson Jr. creates a powerful mix of country and (indie) rock, which he himself calls 'Death Cab for Country'. Nineties grunge also continues to inspire him; for instance, he covers Nirvana and Temple Of The Dog on his EP Blankets (2025). The new single Gary (also the namesake of this tour) is a Springsteen-esque cry from the heart!
