The Hajj is a two-piece Psychedelic Eastern Jam Punk band consisting of brothers Philip and Freddie. Hailing from Limassol in Cyprus and with Armenian and Lebanese roots, they bring together a unique blend of cultures, influences, and musical experiences. Their sound combines Eastern sounds and grooves with heavy punk and rock, with improvisation and the energy of live music at its core. Individuality, diversity, and music with a message form the common thread.

The brothers' musical journey began during their childhood in Saudi Arabia, where they were exposed to diverse sounds and musical styles. After moving to Ottawa, Canada, they formed their first band, Clepto, in 2000. Ten years later, they moved to Southern California, which has served as their home base for recording and touring ever since.

The Hajj was officially founded in 2017. Since then, the duo has toured the United States and Canada with the project and also returned to their home base in Cyprus. By now, Philip and Freddie have more than 300 shows to their name, including performances at Scull Fest 12 in Pittsburgh and Punx Make Noise Fest in Quebec City, as well as at venues such as Garden Amphitheater, Whisky a Go Go, and The Viper Room.

Expect a quirky and energetic fusion of psychedelics, Eastern influences, punk, rock, and improvisation.
