The Kulture of Hype and Hope: an event just as we’ve come to expect, with 4 editions and 4 elements. Are you ready for the WIND edition on Saturday, September 12th, starting at 12:00 PM? Giovani Vreede and Marsha Webster, in collaboration with DOX, are organizing one of the largest hip-hop events in the Netherlands, featuring a Hype atmosphere and a message of Hope. Do you feel like feeling the adrenaline and discovering different cultures and styles? Then become part of our warm and energetic hip-hop community that stands for Peace, Love, Unity, and Having Fun.

This WIND edition is a 1v1 HipHop and/or OpenStyle battle. Will we see you at De Helling in Utrecht? If you want to participate or just come watch, buy a ticket here. Everyone is welcome! The jury for this edition consists of HipHop Judges: TBA. OpenStyle Judges: TBA. HipHop DJ Kinsoul and OpenStyle DJ Chris Trib3 will provide the music.

The Kulture Ranking starts at 0 with the EARTH edition in April and is complete after the WATER edition in January 2027. De Helling is our permanent location. Please note: January 10, 2027 is the GOLD edition, where the top 8 of the Kulture Ranking will dance the finals in HipHop and Open Style after four editions. With great success during the GOLD edition on Sunday, we are holding the 3vs3 HipHop battles for the third time.

The Kulture of Hype and Hope is one of the most famous international hip-hop dance events in the world. Dancers from all over the globe come to Utrecht to battle each other in a dance competition. In four preliminary rounds, spread throughout the year, dancers compete in various categories for first place, with a different dance style highlighted in each edition. It is not a competition in the classical sense, but a way to celebrate the love of dance and hip-hop culture. Through a point system, the dancers are ranked throughout the editions. At the end of the season, the finale takes place during a special edition. The dancers in the top eight conclude the The Kulture of Hype and Hope season, with a true The Kulture of Hype and Hope winner.
