Darija, poetry and contemporary influences.

UD Festival: Oum featuring Oum, Ayda Benslimane, Cynthia Abraham, Yacir Rami.

Oum has one of the most beautiful voices in contemporary Afro-Arabic music. Her songs blend elements of soul, jazz, and Moroccan tradition, sung in Darija, Amazigh, French, English, and Spanish. To celebrate the release of her latest album, Dialddar, Oum is coming to our Recital Hall. It promises to be a special, intimate evening, accompanied by three backing vocalists, the oud, and percussion.
