Wende is back! With new music, of which the first single 'We Doen Alsof' is a beautiful preview of the upcoming album 'Er is Nog Tijd'. Naturally, she is also returning to Haarlem on Sunday, March 7.

In 'We Doen Alsof', Wende sings about the longing for intimacy and, at the same time, the fear of truly showing yourself. About the masks and filters we put on to conceal our rough edges and scars. And that, in our quest to be seen, we sometimes hide exactly who we really are. The new album came about after the end of a love, but 'Er Is Nog Tijd' did not become an album about loss. Wende sings about what comes next: who do you become now that life is taking a different turn than you expected? She sings, now 47, about longing that does not fade, a body that changes, shame, a life without children, and about parents whose language and silence live on in how you love. Nowhere does the record promise that everything will turn out alright. Rather, it promises that, as long as you live, anything is still possible.

Wende is one of the most versatile pop artists in the Netherlands. Since 2003, she has released eight albums and won Edisons in multiple categories. 'MENS' (2019) won the Edison Pop; 'Sterrenlopen' (2023) debuted at #2 in the Album Top 100, featuring collaborations with Froukje and S10. At her concerts and festival performances, the same has been true for twenty years: anyone who has seen Wende live will not forget it.
