A monochromatic light instrument, played by collective presence. White Space by Matthias Oostrik transforms negative space into a meeting place where strangers connect. At the heart of the installation, a monolith of intense blue and white light rotates on its axis, while monochromatic light and generative music shift and dance among the audience.

Responding to posture and position, the sculpture becomes an instrument, played by everyone present. Only by aligning their positions and synchronizing their postures can visitors reach the climax: illuminating the void that separates them and transforming the negative space into White Space .

The interactive light installation premieres during ADE Arts & Culture 2026, in collaboration with ICK Dans Amsterdam.
